Monument to despot Stefan Lazarević

On Vidovdan 2020, at Kosturnica Square, a monument to Despot Dtefan Lazarevic, the son of Prince Lazar, great military leader, magnificent diplomat, constructor and patron, as well as known art worshiper was reveled. Despot Stefan is shown on a rising horse holding a cross in his hand, symbolically directed at path to Kosovo. Together with the stand monument is nine meters high, and the lyrics of his most famous poem “Slovoljubve” placed on the northern side of the monument and Serbian coat of arms on the south side of the base, prove the fact he was great ruler, writer and patron of art. The author of the monument is Boris Stajkovac, PhD.

Sin kneza Lazara, despot Stefan Lazarević, poznat i kao Visoki Stevan je u vreme kada je to bilo gotovo nemoguće.
